In this assignment, we took many pictures to show 6 types of different photos. They were pattern, rule of thirds, symmetry, texture, depth of field and lines. Each picture had to represent one of these.
For pattern, I took a picture of a chair in the school library. I chose this chair because it had a very creative pattern that i really liked. It was also very colorful which made the pattern stand out.
For rule of thirds, I took a picture of a combination lock on a locker. I used rule of thirds to take a really good picture of it.
For texture, I took a picture of a section of the wall located by the high school auditorium. It was a really neat texture that I knew would be perfect to use.
For symmetry, I took a picture of a the stairs in the high school. It was a great example of symmetry.
For lines, I took a picture of a railing while on the stairs. It looked really cool when i finished taking the picture.
For depth of fields, I took a picture while standing on the 3rd floor overlooking the narrow hallway.
From this assignment I learned, how to use all these 6 different settings to take pictures. I never knew about them and now I am really excited to be able to take more pictures like these in the future!
